New health information resource!

Newly available to anyone with a library card from the Red Wing Public Library is Consumer Health Complete, a medical database from EBSCO. CHC provides convenient access to easily understandable health and medical information. You can search and browse within medical encyclopedias, popular reference books, and magazine articles. To check it out, visit our databases page and click on the EBSCO link. From home, you'll need to enter your library card number to access the database. You now have 24 hour access to high quality, understandable and current medical information!

The Zoo Man is coming this Thursday!

The always popular Zoo Man will present 2 shows at the library this Thursday, one of which (at 11am) is already 'sold out' and has no tickets remaining. The other show, at 1pm, has plenty of free tickets left - just stop by or call us at the reference desk (651-385-3645). It's a great mix of education and entertainment - come and see!

The Friends of the Library will hold their annual River City Days used book sale this Saturday from 9am until noon, downstairs at the library. There will be lots of excellent books in excellent condition, so be sure to come early!

Moonwalk anniversary

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and humankind's first steps on the moon. NASA has a fascinating website commemorating the mission, including restored video. After you've been to the website, come visit the library to check out biographies of the astronauts and histories of the space proram!
