Booked 4 Murder

Four local authors (Lois Greiman, C. Hyytinen, Michael Allan Mallory and Marilyn Victor) present Criminal Minds: Twisting up a Mystery Plot. They will discuss how to get your work noticed and published and give "practical advice on what it takes to make it in today's crowded mystery market." The free program, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, will be this Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 am in the library's Foot Room. Refreshments will be served!

Alice Munro

The Man Booker International Prize, worth £60,000 to the winner, is awarded once every two years to "a living author for a body of work that has contributed to an achievement in fiction on the world stage." Canadian author Alice Munro is the third winner ofthe contest, after Ismail KadarĂ© in 2005 and Chinua Achebe in 2007.

Stop by on Friday, June 5 between 10:30 and 12:30 or 5:00 and 6:00 to scavenge for summer reading supplies, sign up for programs and do a craft or two!
